In Memory of Nancy Hart

I was watching YouTube and saw a video where Kevin Hart was talking about his mother and how much he missed her. I wanted to do something very special for him because I know how hard it is to lose someone you love. So thankful God blessed me with the gift.

Kevin,

Every day since my passing I've witnessed your love for me,
Though it hurts like crazy, you've accepted that with God is where I'm suppose to be.
Son, know that my love for you still floats around on the earth below,
Believe me when I say that a mother's love is a love that will forever live on.

I walk around heaven and I say to the other angels, "Look at my son! He's amazing!"
We all sit up here and laugh at the jokes you tell as I say, "That boy is crazy."
I'm so blessed that God allowed me to spend my days on earth with you,
Thankful that He still allow me to see the amazing things that you do.

As I look down and see you with your children, I am one proud mom/grandma,
Precious Heaven and my man Hendrix, I miss you all.
It brightens my day to see just how loving you all are and the goofy times you all share,
It's during these times I wish that I could just be there.

God came to me and said, "Nancy you've fulfilled your purpose, you must come home now."
He sent His best angels, with beautiful faces and pure white gowns.
He extended His hand and upon it I stood as He brought me up to enter heaven's gates,
Physically gone from the earth but on the other side I await.

I know my God and He will be with you every single day of your life,
Open your Bible on a daily basis and read the scriptures in it, Kevin read them twice.
Know that I'll always be with you as God made me an angel to oversee,
Watching over you, Robert, my grandchildren, friends and family.

Death can never take me away from you, in your heart is where you'll find me,
From the start of each morning to the end of each night, I'm wherever you may be.
Continue to fulfill your purpose, God has great things planned for you,
Just remember know matter what, your mother Nancy Hart will always be loving you.

Love,
Mom

In Memory of Jacqueline "Jackie" Donahue (Sister of Nelly & Mother of Shawn and Sydney)

I was watching an episode of "Nellyville" when I saw Nelly say that two of his children were actually his niece and nephew whom he took responsibility for after the death of his sister. I enjoyed watching the show but was more touched by the story, therefore, I took the gift God has blessed me with and began writing:

It's been a while since I've left the earthly grounds,
No matter how long it's been I know it still hurts the same not to have me around.
Know that I did not go far because my love still lives with you,
No matter how long, I'll never ever forget you.

Nelly, you are the best brother any girl could ever ask for,
Though you didn't have to, you did as I asked and more.
I love you bro and from the heaven skies I watch over you daily,
I know you sense my love and it has you feeling some type of way lately.

I'm not far at all...just beyond the clouds you look up to,
Don't you cry at all...I'm so thankful for the time God gave me with you.
All it takes is a call...you can yell up to the high and bright skies,
I hear it all...through the winds howl you'll hear my fast replies.

Shawn and Sydney... know that I'd give anything to have you in my arms again,
I know it's been painful but God called my name and I've been in heaven ever sent.
Know that no mistake was made, when God calls us...we have to go,
Know that each and every day...I'm looking down on you and loving you so.

A mother's love last forever and that's exactly how my love will last for you,
Look how big you've gotten and all the wonderful things you've been blessed to do.
You're listening to Uncle Nell ain't you? You better be...cause you know how he is,
I'm sitting back laughing as I watch down on all four of you kids.

Continue doing great things and never walk away from your dreams,
Know that life is too short and you want to live with no regrets about anything.
Be good to each other, take care of one another and love as much as you can,
And know that no matter what life brings you...I'll be right here, holding your hand.

Love,
Mama Jackie

In Memory of Doris Rowland Garrison (Mother of Kelly Rowland)

I was online today and saw that Kelly Rowland lost her mom it was put on my heart to write:

When death finds us, it is never an easy thing to deal with,
A persons absence reminds us, it just always seem as if life ended too quick.

Kelly, I know that you sit there in pure shock, still in disbelief that I'm gone,
Asking God, "Did you really come and take my mom back home?"
God erased my presence from the earth only to have me present with Him,
I know it hurts but it's only a short time that God shares His precious gems.

Don't cry baby doll...know that I wear a smile on my face cause I'm home,
Thankful God brought me to this place and knowing His decisions are never wrong.
Don't be angry sweetie pie...I lived a beautiful life and I'm so very glad,
Thankful to God that He blessed me with you and for the awesome times we had.

When God calls us by name you don't ask why, you just get up and go,
Hate I couldn't notify you but the time and date are never known.
Death is nothing we can ever be prepared for, we just have to learn to let God work,
And don't ever forget to call Him by name whenever your heart begin to hurt.

Honey child if you could only see this gorgeous place that I now call home,
If it was up to me, I wouldn't have left you there I would've brought you along.
Know that I love you baby and my love for you will always remain by your side,
Listen to me...my body may be physically gone but mom is just fine.

Love,
Mama Doris

My Talk with GOD

I remember writing this poem about the day that I was born. This is a poem that is very dear to my heart. I hope you enjoy the read.

“My Talk With God”

Born two months early. Delivered from a dry birth. Fighting for life at 3lbs 5 ounces. God spoke, “This breath, you’re worth.” (Blowing) “Welcome to my world. Walk with me & talk with me.”

11:48 am, Feb. 23rd, 1977 I get here. Crying in fear but awakened. See, God knew I was no mistake and…he knew my potential. He giggles, “Poetry you resemble. Words placed on the center of your tongue. The truth formed in the center of your eyes. A brain built in the rawest form. Your presence is one they’ll remember for life.”

Then he told me, “Leukemiona, there’s only one you. No other. I will now place you in the hands of your mother for guidance. If ever you’re in need, place the ground up under your knees and talk to me. I am the wisest. Remember that life is a continued journey. There will be many forks in the road, lots of decisions to be made. You will often cry and sometimes it may seem as you’re in constant pain. You’ll sometimes doubt me and you will often ask me why. You’ll want what you want when you want it & wonder why the slow reply. Just know that I am always here and you will never have to worry. Whenever the water seems to get too deep. I will always be here to carry…you. Remember that I am the truth, the way & the light. And don’t forget that it’s me & through my precious son Jesus Christ you’re blessed with this life. Now cry…”

Only a few hours old and I let out a scream. My mother tried to comfort me and the nurses told her to feed. But his gift to me was one that brought the tears to my eyes. At only a few hours old, I cried thankful for my gift of life. I said to him, “Lord thank you. And as long as I live, I will always know there is only one you. I want to thank you for taking the time to perfect me. They say that no one is perfect but every time I look in the mirror…I see it directly. You make no mistakes. Everything is perfect that you create. I am your child. A child of God. You are my father. Doubting you will be a hard job. You see, you are faithful, kind, gentle and your love is unconditional. No matter my troubles, you’re always near me so…I don’t have to worry and yes, times may even get scary. And I may start to wonder but I know. That as long as I’m walking this road I am not alone. As you place me in my mothers arms and the world becomes my playground and my mother becomes my teacher. And when the rain comes pouring down…I know I can call if I need you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you so very much. There is nothing like a father’s love. God, I love you!”
